Retransfer film is essential to properly print ID cards with retransfer printers. During printing in a retransfer card printer, the printhead will print a mirror image onto the retransfer film. The retransfer film is then applied to the card, and the image is “sandwiched” between the card and the film. This process creates the highest quality colors and images available.
