Our team had an amazing time at the annual Louisville Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet. The theme of the evening was The Godfather and included movie trivia, red roses for all the women and a cardboard figure of Vito Corleone himself! (It made for some great photos.)
ID Edge was recognized as the 2014 Small Business of the Year and we were truly honored to accept the award. We’ve been doing business in Louisville for 30 years and love being part of this community. Whether it’s hosting Chamber After Hours or sponsoring local events, we try to get involved as much as we can because we believe in the importance of giving back. Our founder and President, Steve Lundgren, credits much of his success to this amazing community and says, “No individual is successful by themselves. Community is what makes businesses successful.”
We are so grateful for the individuals and businesses that make Louisville the welcoming and unique community that it is. As Paul Bloom said, “We are constituted so that simple acts of kindness, such as giving to charity or expressing gratitude, have a positive effect on our long-term moods. The key to the happy life, it seems, is the good life: a life with sustained relationships, challenging work, and connections to community.”
All of us at ID Edge would also like to congratulate the other award recipients:
- Large Business of the Year: arc Thrift Store
- Lawrence Enrietto Volunteer of the Year: Roy Howland
- 1st Ever Lani Melvin Special Recognition Award: Donnie Buffo
- Pioneer of the Year: Dick DelPizzo
Thank you for this wonderful honor!
