Evolis Hologram Overlay Varnish Ribbon – Genuine Globe Design is a transparent ribbon that has embedded 3D globe images that is used for adding more security to cards. The ribbon uses a special technique called HRI (High Refractive Index) that only allows the 3D globe images to be seen when a card is held at a certain angle. The holographic overlay adds a level of security to a card and keeps it from being fraudulently duplicated. The holographic overlay also protects the card from wear and tear, UV light exposure and other environmental factors.
