October 14 through the 16 is the annual National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) Congress and Exposition, and ID Edge will be there to see it all! The NRPA Congress and Exposition is the premier annual event of the park and recreation community, taking place in Charlotte, North Carolina. The show is an opportunity to engage with professionals in the park and recreation industry and to showcase products and services.
Dynamic keynote speakers will address attendees and discuss the latest industry news in a panel discussion format to inspire new ideas and considerations. The panelists include attorney Robert Garcia, the founding director and counsel of The City Project, and Dr. Maya Rockeymoore, the president and CEO of the Center for Global Policy Solutions. These distinguished speakers and other representatives from the National Park Service will lead the conversation and spark innovative ideas that will help the park and recreation services of the United States.
More than 6,000 industry professionals will attend the Congress and Exposition, making the show a great opportunity to exhibit at. NRPA’s Exhibit Hall is where attendees spend the majority of their time, learning and networking with their park and recreation colleagues.
ID Edge’s role in support of NRPA is safety, asset control, and visitor management. We will be among the thousands that attend and have the opportunity to experience the event firsthand. If you can’t attend this year, you can attend the Congress virtually from home. You can register online to stream sessions live onto your computer. This is an awesome way to receive valuable training from the event as you attend from your home or office, so don’t miss this opportunity for the 2014 NRPA Congress!
The NRPA impacts communities through their three pillars: conservation, health and wellness, and social equity. These areas are strategies of communication to the public and to policy makers, as the NRPA studies and conveys messages of importance to the greater community. The Congress and Exposition show will also feature educational sessions and other social sessions to participate in, all based on the event’s underlying theme: great ideas start here.
