Earth Day is tomorrow and this year marks the 45th annual event! As we mentioned last week, there are many wonderful ways to celebrate the holiday. Another easy way to be kind to Mother Nature is to use earth-friendly alternatives to traditional products. Here are some of the “green” products that we’re proud to offer:
ID Cards
These cards are made with BIOPVC, which allows for faster biodegradation. The cards only take 5-7 years to decompose, while normal PVC cards take 20-25 years. Eco-friendly cards still provide maximum card life with flat and even surfaces that minimize the risk of printhead damage.
Wooden cards are not only beautiful, they’re friendly to Mother Nature and don’t contain harmful additives. The manufacturing process uses 30 percent less energy than the manufacturing of plastic cards and doesn’t generate waste. Plus, the wood is sourced from sustainably managed forests, so the process doesn’t contribute to the deforestation of our planet.
Badge Accessories
The Pureclear badge holders are made with Earth-friendly EVA, which contains less hazardous material than PVC. They are free of BPA and Phthalates and meet all REACH guidelines set by the European Union. There are vertical and horizontal data-size holders, along with a horizontal event size holder.
These lanyards are a stylish, earth-friendly solution. Bamboo is a cellulose fiber that is easily broken down in the soil, preventing environmental pollution. There are a variety of colors, including navy blue, purple and green.
Printers & Ribbons
This Fargo cartridge enables you to reduce waste and save money. All you have to do is refill it with a new ribbon and a cleaning roller when it’s time for a ribbon change.
These ribbons biodegrade in soil, water, compost or wherever in continual contact with microorganisms.
All plastic materials, such as ribbon cartridges and ribbon roll holders can be recycled. The new design uses less plastic, meaning less waste.
As we’ve said before, printer recycling makes sense and cents! With our unique program, you can trade-in your current printer and receive savings towards a newer model that better fits your needs. That’s good for your bottom line and even better for the environment!
If you’ve considered making the switch to eco-friendly products, now is a great time to do so. In addition to reducing your impact on the environment, you’ll likely attract customers who value your green initiatives.
